A few quick notes from our latest trip –

We stayed in a very nice waterfront chalet arranged for us through Jim Ruos, perhaps the nicest one I’ve seen and right on the beach. The winds had calmed down and the weather was quite nice, we got lucky again. The beach was wider than I have ever seen, so wide that the middle floating raft was only about 15 feet from the shore if that. They could have had 10 rows of chairs in the middle section if they wanted, instead there was just the front row and acres of open space behind, which we took advantage of.

Once again we didn’t bother with a car, using a taxi for our airport transfers (Louis Richardson, arrange thru CO). A walk down to Kakao for a most excellent lunch, again into the village for an equally excellent breakfast at Safari, and lastly a quick foray to Pedros for some ribs-to-go were our only trips off the resort. Evening meals were either grilled on the patio or taken at Papagayo. Papagayo has a new menu and we were more than happy there each time with both food and service. We also enjoyed the entertainment more than usual this time; in fact every night there was music (which was most of them) we were drinking and dancing until they threw us out.

Be careful about cutting it too close checking in at the airport – after we had gone through a long line developed at the 2nd passport check upstairs. Anyone in that queue running late was probably sweating bullets. This on a Thursday.
