Messed around and now the Moorings wants $395 for a motel room on my pre-charter night (sleep aboard is sounding cheaper). Thinking about Myett's inn > have anchored at Cane Garden numerous times and always lock down everything but my mother-in-law. Anyone stayed at the motel lately? We will have a rental car. Is this inn, a ughm, place you can leave your valuables, etc? thanks

Myett's Garden Inn is a lovely place. We've stayed there several times and are always treated like family. We feel perfectly safe there. Plus they have the best happy hour anywhere!

It's not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Sleep aboard at Moorings seems to save time and money for me.
We do sleep aboard on first night and check in a motel on last night (not Mariner) after returning the boat.

I think the 3 day minimum is correct.
Last spring we stayed for one night but
they made an exception for us.
Very friendly place and felt quite safe.
If I recall correctly, there weren't safes
in the room so, there's that.
Planning on staying a little longer
this spring.
Definitely worth looking into

Mike

Sleep aboard is was ridiculously expensive for us and the rooms at Moorings are even more. We ended up staying our pre-night at Fort Burt. Rooms were fine $99 and dinner worked out perfect that evening. Not too far from The Mooring base.
