Wendell, thanks for posting the link. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" /> One of our favorites things to do during the Regatta is take a cruise on a chase boat and watch the race from the water. I just booked a trip with 6 people on the Tango (through Aqua Mania). http://www.stmaarten-activities.com/en/specialtripsThis will be our 5th trip out with them, always have a blast. I also think it is a great deal, for only $40 pp you get a very nice boat ride and all the beer, pop, rum punch you can drink. Can't wait, 38 days and counting until back to SXM and OBBR.

Yes, the chase boat is a lot of fun. Which day did you book? There's a note here in People Talk, regarding several of us who have booked for Saturday morning.

Carol, wanted to go Saturday... but part of our group leaves on Saturday - so couldn't make it work. My wife and I went on the TTOL boat last year, and it was fun meeting people for sure. We booked the Friday afternoon trip on the Tango. Enjoy.

Are there any special bridge openings this year for Regatta?

Shiny Around 2002 there were 304 and the DH was saying that it was a low number of boats.

There are special bridge openings for the Heineken ( http://www.heinekenregatta.com/racing_bridge.php). I'm looking forward to sitting there on the balcony and watching the "judgings" during the races! I've been a volunteer for the past couple of years and it is a great event.
