After the luggage debacle and flight delay there was no sign of our rent a car from Triple A, however someone outside the airport called over there and 10 minutes later our car arrived, a very nice Kia Sportage which is definitely a lot larger than what I originally reserved, however we got the same weekly rate of $150 plus tax & insurance.

We found our way to the Divi with only a couple of wrong turns and proceeded to check in. I had emailed a room request earlier in the week for building E F or G. We we're assigned a 1 bdrm in bldg A on the 4th floor. I was dismayed at first as we were told it was not a renovated room, however, if this room is not renovated I can't imagine what a renovated one looks like. The room is GIGANTIC. The living room has a tv, sofa, coffee table, dining table and the kitchen area has stainless appliances, and cherry colored cabinets. The countertops appear to be Corian. I would have to say the room is easily 10 x 22, not including the entryway. There are 2 bathrooms, both are enormous. One with a whirlpool tub. The bedroom is the same size, plus the closet and bathroom. King size bed, tv, sofa. There are 2 separate air conditioning controls, one in living area one in bedroom. There are 2 balconies - one off the bedroom one off the living room. We are overlooking the beach. The view is magnificent. We couldn't ask for more.

Since we were traumatized over the luggage it it wAs after 7 when we checked in, we decided to stay at the hotel for dinner. We ate outside at Gizmos. There was live music and a small crowd. I have to say, the smokehouse burger I ordered was fabulous. My friend got a smoked chicken salad, which she also enjoyed. Four Bahama Mamas later I was feeling much better. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/circle.gif" alt="" />
