How early will we need to get to Trellis/Scrub/Marina Cay on the morning of the July Full Moon Party to grab a mooring?

I'd like to know if we need to lay up nearby the night prior, or can arrive by 1 or 2 PM.

Thanks

Roger

Not sure how early you need to be in Trellis .. but we will be there at the same time as you. Have reserved a slip at Scrub for the evening and will take advantage of their water taxi for getting to/from the FMP.

See you there !!!

That's our tentative plan as well. Haven't reserved yet, because I'm still piecing together an itinerary and I'd rather not reserve, pay upfront and be locked into that plan. Might get shutout, but I'm hoping for small crowds that late in the season.

I suggest you re-check your itinerary.
Lisa noticed an error on Jeremy's Kitchen website. The full moon occurs on the 19th, and the website showed the party on the 18th.
Lisa contacted Alex and received this response:

Thanks for your email - apologies for the slow reply but we had to investigate...
You are correct, full moon is on the 19th and our website is wrong. Thanks for highlighting this error.

However the Trellis Bay full moon party is actually on the 20th (we have to follow the other businesses on the beach). So I will update our website. I hope you can still attend and that this will fit into your itinerary.

Happy sailing!

<img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />oh wow !!! I am glad you found this !!! We had scheduled the 19th for the FMP. Here is where I found my info:

Obviously this was bad info. I see the correct date is on the website for BVITOURISM

anchoring is easy in Trellis, sticks like glue. However, we prefer Marina Cay so we can swim. Diamond Reef has excellent snorkeling too. Trellis is too enclosed and somewhat yucky to swim in, in our opinion
