I guess the BEYC has been trashed, humbled, and praised ( a couple of times). It is the best, foodwise, activities, customer service, swimming pool of any other place where I have anchored in the BVI, and I have been going there since 1976. I can't figure out what bothers some people on this board about the BEYC...

Every time I've eaten at the BEYC the service has been lackluster, and the food just so-so.

I try it once every 5-10 years just to see if anything has changed.

Ate the most expensive turkey sandwich by the pool a few years ago. Although the price of the said sandwich allowed us use of the pool for the day. Pool was nice but not worth the price of the sandwich.

We usually go to happy hour for drinks and appetizers at BEYC, but when you compare to BEYC the value and quality to Saba, that is where we head now.

Been stopping at BEYC almost yearly since 1981. It has been up and down but never anything to write home about. On the other hand Leverick is special. Super slip, facilities, Upstairs restaurant is excellent and you are close to Hog Heaven and Coco Maya. No Brainer

When you look at the total package, restaurant options, stores, fuel, hotel, pool, beauty, hiking, feeling like you are in a well kept unique environment and just a minute dingy to Saba it is really hard to beat BEYC. Leverick has better food(no doubt), great staff (Nick), better docks, and friendlier people. But since the are so close and its easy to transition from one to the other, I would always recommend at least one night at each spot on every charter. I think a better question is, the North Sound or somewhere else for 2-3 nights?

I was at both places last week. I took two newbie couples to the BVI on a Cat for 8 days. I showed then BEYC cause it's a pretty sight to see. However BEYC was pretty much empty with people. I told my newbies that wait to you see leverick, that place will be busy. The next morning we went to Leverick for the day and grab a ball for the night. Took a cab to the baths and back later for dinner. Way more people at Leverick than BEYC. The pool is free and so is 100 gallons of water and a bag of ice.

Not sure why it needs to be a competition. We go to both places and I'm also a big fan of Saba Rock.

I always spend two nights in North Sound and do both.
