Reasons why we love SXM...the bartenders at Kakao on Orient remember us and make us feel like family...stopped at the little Catholic church in Grand Case after dinner one nite because we heard the choir practicing,,,I went to the door and said...someone in here sounds like Aretha Franklin! They all burst out laughing and one lady said "it was me!" They invited us in and we joined them in a couple of songs...it was great...stopped by Tutta Pasta in Simpson Bay...Patricia, Leon and Warren make you feel like you've just come over to their house for dinner...great people!...No where else can you walk along the beach and have someone stop you by saying...ain't this a slice of heaven...totally nude,,,then announce matter of factly...I'm from Perth Amboy...where are you from?...Have Micky meet you at the airport with his big friendly smile welcoming you back and quickly getting you settled with your rental car(painless)!...by the way, we locked our keys in the car the 1st day and he made a trip out at 10 that same nite to rectify the situation...anyway...I could go on and on...but you confirmed SXM lovers know what I mean...I just have that FEELING for this place unlike any other place I've been...We're trying St. Johns' for the 1st time in November and I know this will be lovely but different...I get like a kid with excitement when we're counting the days to go back to SXM...that would be next May, and I love that silly, happy, joy I get every time it gets close to us going back. Oh well...you understand...for those of you counting down..I'M SO JEALOUS!!! Have fun!!!!
