Pelicanpirate...believe me...I am counting my lucky stars!

You know...this ship was commissioned in June...and it was amazing how much it already looked "used". I expected pristine and absolutely beautiful. While it is a beautiful ship...I was not overwhelmed by it. There was rust on the outside...especially on our balcony. There were marks on the wall in the closet. It just was beginning to look tired all ready and many of the staff was what I will call disgruntled?

a story...every evening after dinner we went to crooners...a piano bar in the atrium...to have a martini. We are not martini drinkers...but we decided to try a new one each night to broaden our horizons...lol

Every night we had the same waiter from Serbia. He was a delightful young man...and we tipped him well for his hospitality each night...we were the only ones in Crooners. and he would stand and talk to us...and give us the scoop on things...lol

About a week into the cruise...we were having our nightly martini...and the bar tender...rudely came over and repromanded our waiter. It made us so uncomfortable....we never went back. I felt so badly for him. He had told us that he was due to get off the ship after the next cruise. He was going to be on vacation for two months...then reassigned to a different ship. There was a female singer in the atrium for the first week. She was replaced by a male singer for the second week. According to the waiter...she too was reassigned. As the cruise progressed...we heard about more and more kids that were leaving after the next cruise...which would be the one that is now cancelled.

Things that make you go hmmmmm?
