We stayed several days at
Fond Doux before a sailing trip. It is a cocoa, flower and fruit plantation owned and operated by a third generation (if I recall correctly) landowner/farmer. It is not on a beach, but near the Pitons, next door to Ladera. I am not enthralled with the beaches of the southern Caribbean, but I love the mountains, hot springs, green hillsides, fresh fruit and veggies... Lots to do, and there is a beach not too far away.
