Saturday evening we went to the Hideaway at La Vista for dinner. It’s a nice setting overlooking the infinity pool and a Caribbean. We started with a mozzarella tomato salad which was very nice. I had the Red Snapper filet with a creole sauce. Very tasty though the fish seemed a tad over cooked. John had pork tenderloin with a delicious cream based sauce. Each came with Rice, sautéed zucchini, 4 pieces of penne alfredo, and California blend vege. It was a very nice dinner but nothing really special.
Monday night we went to Grande Case and ate at Piazza Pascal. Again started with tomato/mozzarella salad. The mozzarella was house made and you can really tell the difference! I had Trigger Fish with a mango, orange ginger sauce. It was served with sundried tomato risotto. The fish was perfectly cooked and the sauce was nicely astringent with a bit of heat provided by the ginger. Delightful! John had Penne Florentine with chicken. It was delicious as well. Penne was perfectly al dente. We shared a Tiramisu for dessert that was absolutely decadent! Talking with Donna is a great bonus as well.
The weather has finally changed. The winds have finally gone. Today (Tuesday) there was just the slightest breeze. There were only a few little puffy white clouds and it seemed quite warm. It’s still quite hazy but we can make out an outline of Saba on the horizon.
Sand gravity or in our case today, pool gravity, continues to rule. Not that we’re complaining…
