<img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/typing.gif" alt="" /> We are just back from two weeks in the BVI and I just wanted to say because of your honest and free-flowing advice - our trip was great!
I did have one BIG Lesson learned: ALL future trips will be flown from CLT to STT + ferry!
We were disappointed we didn't make it to the Meet-N-Greet, but we enjoyed the [color:"blue"]FMP at Trellis Bay[/color] - my daughter and I got pulled into a game of musical chairs with the Jumbie dancers - I almost won!
The [color:"blue"]Beef Island Guest House[/color]was a great little spot and Chris was a wonderful host... the power went out around midnight our 2nd/last night there - pretty miserable, but not anyone's fault (thank goodness for fans - he's thinking about putting in AC - but I can understand the reservations what with the price, etc.) Had some wonderful meals at [color:"blue"]De Loose Mongoose[/color]!
[color:"blue"]Guavaberry Spring Bay (Tina)[/color] was a delite and, personally, I think Spring Bay is the best beach on the island! Great snorkeling! Our cottage afforded us a beautiful sunset each evening. (Tina told me they were installing AC in all their units - it was rather hot..)
I was quite proud of myself for finding [color:"blue"]Brutus' Bakery[/color] (and a bad case of plane turbulence combined with a full cup of coffee required that I find [color:"blue"]Steven's Laundromat[/color]).
The [color:"blue"]Mine Shaft[/color] was great, went to the Lobster Fest both Mondays we were there, fabulous!
We rented a car for our stay and drove to [color:"blue"]Savannah Bay, Leverick Bay and climbed Gorda Peak[/color] - whew!
We did the Norman Island day sail with [color:"blue"]Double D Charters[/color], Dave kept us quite entertained with facts and stories about the islands.
We became obsessed with hunting for sea glass - I think if we had more time we would have taken a boat back to Salt Island - Dave said it's abundant there!
Had [color:"blue"]Edith's pina coloda at Mad Dog's[/color] - it was good, but there was not enough!
