I think I would skip Bananakeet for that particular night. I would also skip Trellis on the first night and make it part of your itinerary.
I know you said you aren't really interested in Road Town ... but ... your friends may be pretty tired after a long trip and may not want to travel very far for dinner.
There's a new restaurant in Road Town on Main Street (where the old Roti Palace used to be) called "Fantasia". It's owned by Georgio from the old Georgio's Table on Virgin Gorda. He has moved over here to Tortola and it's supposed to be terrific.
Let your friends drop off their bags at BVIYC and maybe take a shower. Then grab a taxi to Fantasia.
Karen (who was the bartender at The Clubhouse Restaurant on Frenchman's Cay) works at Fantasia now, so you can be assured of friendly service. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />
After dinner, walk down the street to Origin (opposite the ferry terminal) on Waterfront Drive and take them up to the bar on the roof for after dinner drinks. There are great views of Road Harbour from up there.
