Sometimes though (for many various reasons)people choose to take a taxi. While I prefer a car myself, if I were going to certain places and alcohol was involved, it would be a DD or a taxi for sure.
Nobody should refuse to pay a fare, especially if agreed to ahead of time, but we have warned against "gypsy" taxis for a long time now.
