I think Sunday is a normal flight day for them. I just went to the Maho cam and saw it take off.

Just peeked in on the Maho Beach Cam and the big blue bird - the KLM 747 is sitting at the gate.

It's baaaack!

Yes. I'm across the way from it at El Zafiro. Leaving in about 30 minutes.

I filmed the rollout and take off in HD so it is a big file. Need to trim it down and get it uploaded. Probably will wait when I get back home when I have decent upload speeds. stay tuned.

Do you know what time Friday? I think we'd like to be there.

It lands at roughly 10:45, takes back off at roughly noon. You can see scheduled landings and departures on the PJIA website, or the link on mahobeachcam.

I do hope that they give the final takeoff a special departure ceremony. Sad to think that we won't be able to watch the landings and takeoffs anymore...It truly was a special sight to behold EVERY time!!
