I love the line from a Kenny Chesney song "...I told the bartender, mix rum in whatever you've got..." Funny thing is--it works! Try 1 part rum, 1 part coconut rum. 1 part OJ the 2 parts of V8 splash tropical punch Another one I enjoy is 1 part rum, 1 part vodka, 1 part pineapple juice and mango juice. For a party try just buying an assortment of juices (OJ, pineapple, mango, cranberry...) flavored rums (cruzan has some great ones), dark rum, light rum, cream of coconut and fresh nutmeg to grate and just let everyone experiment.

Here is the most popular drink at my bar: Rum Jumbie (the cocktail)
2 parts Orange Juice (better if Orange Tangerine) 1 part Pineapple Juice 1 part Rum, (preferred Cruzan 120 but can not get any longer, so I mix 80 & 151 proof rum. 1 lime slice squeezed in.
Mix in a glass with ice, then add 1 part or a bit more of Tonic and then a quick light mix.

My favorite Rum Cocktail- (Note I am usually a rum on the rocks drinker but this is a very nice cocktail)
Hemingway Daiquiri
1 1/2 oz light rum 3/4 oz of fresh lime juice 1/4 oz of grapefruit juice 1/4 oz of cherry juice/liqueur (I make my own infused cherries and use this liqueur)
Contents into a cocktail shaker with ice, shake until you can tell the ice is breaking down and the shaker becomes chilled.
Strain and serve, garnish with a cherry.
Cheers, T
