Quick, easy & great on the grill: Tenderize the flank steak with a mallet. In a mortar crush together approx. 2 oz cilantro, black pepper, salt, the juice of a half lemon, a clove of garlic and approx. 1 oz. of limoncello. Looks like a great recipe. I think it tastes like soap also... I usually substitute curly parsley...

It tastes worse than soap! I also use parsley but the taste is nowhere the same.

How weird. I like the taste of cilantro, in small batches anyway. Eric doesn't like it, so I don't use it much. I never asked him if he thought it tastes like soap though...

When I first tried it, I thought cilantro tasted like soap, but when I tried it again many years later, I loved it!

Fascinating article! I was a cilantro hater, but I think it's growing on me. If I'm the cook, however, I would never add it. Arugula - had it only once, in the BVI of all places, and I instantly detested it. Have avoided it ever since. I don't consider myself a fussy eater at all!
