We just book a VW Polo or similar through Rentalcars.com for $530 for 31 days in August. This includes liability, my Capital One CC covers collision for up to 31 days. The company they put us with is Sixt. Have not used them before, we'll see. Anyone used Sixt?

Hi. I made this it's own thread. Never heard of that company, not that that means anything.

You are not the first one in this thread to talk about an experience other than in SXM. However, I have to say that an experience OTHER THAN in SXM is not particularly relevant. It's like asking about Hertz or Dollar in the US..

and this doesn't have anything to do with Sixt, but i noticed you said you used rentalcars.com...while we start our travel planning with third party travel sites (ie. kayak, booking.com, rentalcars.com, etc.), we usually use those sites solely for informational purposes...after we get an idea of prices for hotels and cars, we then go directly to the vendors' own sites for the actual bookings...besides the greater peace of mind we get by avoiding a third party, we also sometimes get additional discounts from the vendors' websites...for example, if you sign up on Sixt's website before booking, you get an additional 5% savings on rentals...and then if you get to Sixt's website by first going through Ebates, Ebates will give you a 4% rebate....just stuff to consider, as YMMV <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" />
