Does anyone know the current cost of a taxi from the airport to Orient Bay? We normally rent a car when we arrive, but we're considering just renting for a few days in the middle of our trip and taking a cab to and from the airport. Thanks!

Hi. In June we paid either $30 or $35 for 2 people to go from the airport to our house in Orient. Hope that helps!

It will always be a bit more if you arrange in advance for someone like Wilfred to pick you up. And there are legitimate reasons for that - like the fact that he has to give up the opportunities for other trips while getting to the airport and possibly waiting for delayed flights, etc.

(I am only mentioning this as just posting the price might give the impression that Wilfred is over priced.)

I'm with Jaxon60 – don’t want to leave any impression that Wilfred is overcharging, far from it.
Pre booking an airport pick up and jumping in a cab at the airport is apples and oranges.
You pre book to ensure you get what you want regardless of the airline or airport timing.

We pre book Wilfred, we appreciate his service, we know he will be there regardless of whether our flight is on time or not, he will know the route to our rental, he will stop at a store if we want along the way and we appreciate his smile and warmth.

Same concept by the way when we cab back forth to Toronto airport. We pre book both ways, our driver – Desmond – has to pay to wait for us at Toronto airport, that gets added to our cost – but worth it for us to get a dependable service – same with Wilfred Brooks

Note, if you book Wilfred to go from Orient direct to airport, it's the taxi rate sheet as no extra cost or extra wait time

Same here! We very much appreciate his service. He even waited with us 20 minutes in Orient village until the villa rental guy showed up. Can't beat Wilfred's service.

Understand though, if your plane is three hours late, he will have to leave the airport and come back later, which is a whole different situation than someone who is just in the cue to be the next taxi driver up. He HAS to charge more for that service.

Thank you all for the answers. It's good to know we have a couple of options.
