Just had some folks I know return from a charter in Croatia, they have been going every year. They were sad to report that prices have skyrocketed over the last year, 130 Euros for a slip, 40 Euros for a case of beer and so on. They will not be returning, which is disappointing as I had hoped to charter with them there next year.
Drink all day at home, your friends worry about you; do it on vacation and they say "what a good time you're having". Save your friends needless worry, travel more!

We sailed in Croatia 2 years ago, but with a captain (we're experienced, but didn't get it together to get the license). If you're interested, I wrote up the trip on my blog: Here, here , and here. It was an awesome trip, offering the feeling of getting in on something before everyone else did (which was, of course, not really true in comparison to other Europeans knowing the "secret" long before those of us from the U.S.); sounds like the rest of us are catching on.
I've got a Caribbean Soul I can barely control... (JB)
