Except that the airport won't be fully functional until May-June, 2018

That flight IS listed as available right now and it connects in SJU with a Seabourne flight to SXM....maybe the Seabourne smaller plane MIGHT be able to land assuming the airport is safe and semi-operational. No clue how all that was mentioned will be done by then though.
You will (might) be going to two severely damaged islands...

LANDING is no problem right now, during the day anyway, as the Dutch Marines are handling that. Immigration, baggage, where people line up to board, those are bigger issues. A smaller plane would be less trouble right now, because there won't be huge lines of people trying to get on and off.

Here is what you said in another thread: Daily Herald story By the way, the DH appears to be having some problems with too much traffic, so if the link doesn't work, check back later.. The Marines are guarding the airport, which I guess is in part because of the fence being down, which apparently they are working on. One thing I noted from the story is that there is no functional beacon and radar system at the airport. Not sure what is being done to address that issue.

I very much doubt things will be 'normal' for quite a while, but regardless, planes ARE able to land right now with assistance of the military. The previous poster said that planes could not land. They have huge challenges ahead of them to get to even quasi-regular flights, for sure.
