We are back on the Island! Having a blast and dodging the weather. Today was beautiful. Sunday and Monday we had some pretty significant rainfall. Beach ball racing was a ton of fun today with rum shots for all on Orient. Had a great lunch at Bikini Beach. The beach was very full on the Club O side and empty walking down to Bikini.
Really different for us since we are staying on the Dutch side at Divi. What a fun and nice resort.
No visible progress at Club O since our May trip.
carib cheers,

At what time of morning would you suggest getting to Orient before chairs get picked over/scarce?

Wow, surprising and good news that the Club O beach was full! There's been a few days of rain, so guess that explains it. Enjoy your trip!

Thank you Carol. Today we had a small shower today also but just went to the Perch for lunch while it passed. Plenty of chairs available at 9am. There were approximately 200 people on the beach. Mary D and Regis sponsored the rum for today’s Beach Ball races and Marsha also came up with a back up bottle. Tons of fun playing in the surf. Dinner party at Club Fantastico tonight. The demand is certainly there on Orient to retain a clothing optional beach.
Old friends arrived and I would say that 90 percent of the people on the beach had been there multiple times.
carib cheers ,

Is Yellow Submarine back in operation? How is the MT Vernon Hotel complex looking? And last (I know it's not as popular as The Beach Ball Races), but are the volleyball games happening? Thanks for your replies in advance.

Beach Ball racing and bottles of coconut rum are very popular. The volleyball net is up but I haven’t seen any activity.
I hate to pass on this news but Willie was at Perch Lite yesterday. She was not working. I was a bit late to see her unfortunately. She stated to our friends that she misses everyone she has met over the years but she will not be back. carib cheers Willie. You are a Club Orient legend.

Yes for sure. I read a few posts this am. We are waking up to a beautiful day but last night was a horror show. We dined at Pelican Pete’s We took a cab from Divi. The sky’s opened up for hours. When we called our cabbie he told us no way would he come out. “The streets are flooded” That was an understatement. Luckily our friends had a Rav 4 and got us back.
We dodged boulders in the streets and several car accidents.
A better day today.

P.S.
Kenny tended bar yesterday.

"Pelican Pete's"?? Pineapple Pete?? Glad you made it back safe. Your experience sounds sort of like Pat's. Glad you got back safe also. What did you have for dinner?

Good thing you have nice friends. What would you have done otherwise? Kind of rotten for the cabbie to pull that on you.

Not sure what we would have done but I was so glad we didn’t drive the little car we had rented. It was absolutely crazy. When we got back to Divi I was walking in water over my sneakers.

Grey is working here and there trying to make ends meet until he get get some solid work. You can contact him on Facebook Reynold Grey is his given name. I am in regular contact with him and I know he would love to hear from old friends from Busby’s. He also sees Charlie Brown regularly as well.
