Hi all
Thank you TTOL Administrator for helping me get up and running on this board.
I have been monitoring this board for quite a while, reading and posting, and I have to admit I doubted you guys at times when you talked about these incredible little islands. However, I am now officially a convert!!!! Unbelievable is the only word that I can use to describe this place- it is heaven. I have been pretty much all around the Caribbean and Hawaii- Aruba, St. Martin, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cancun, Maui, Lanai, Florida Keys etc.. No place compares to the BVI- I am going to do my best with a first time trip report. Please be kind and keep in mind I am a newbie.

March 18th-Day One
Great flight from JFK to SJU on AA- no problems, fully booked and on time. It took us a minute to find the Air Sunshine counter in PR, but we found it and went down to the gate to wait for our 2:30 flight to VG. I took the board's advice and jumped in the co-pilot's seat on the way to VG. Oh my God! I almost cried when I saw the beauty of all those islands poking out of the unbelievable blue and green Caribbean water. An experience I will never forget- I highly recommend jumping in that seat for Air Sunshine travelers.
Customs and everything at VG airport was great-quick and easy. Speedy's taxi picked us up and off we went to our villa at Leverick Bay. What a ride that was!!! The hills and turns were a bit scary but the views were beautiful. Check in went very smoothly, we stocked up on munchies and alcohol ( I am a Caribe convert) at the Chef's Pantry (Kimmers, you are right- pretty expensive, but not much more so than mid-town Manhattan) and then off to our villa which had the most incredible views of the North Sound, the most delicious breezes, and a cute little pool....... We were off to a good start.... Diner that night was at the Leverick Bay restaurant- delicious!!! Filet Mignon and Blackened Swordfish- great view from the restaurant with terrific breezes and drinks. The conch fritters here were a little disappointing however, but overall a great night. A very peaceful place.

March 19th-Day Two
We had bagels and coffee in our villa and a dip in our pool, then off to Leverick Bay Watersports. We tried to rent a dinghy, but they were all booked ( a word to the wise, if you are going to be there in high season and want a dinghy on a specific day, I would email Laura or Mike and let them know). We ended up with a kayak. We jumped aboard with our snorkling gear and off we went. Now keep in mind we are not experienced kayakers so we were trying to get out of the Leverick Bay Marina area with the kayak facing the wrong way!!! I think we amused the breakfast crowd at the restaurant. Anyway, after A Lot of effort we arrived across the sound at this lovely secluded little beach that was on Prickly Pear, it wasn't Vixen Point, I am not sure of the name, but it was great. We were completly by ourselves and enjoyed the snorkling immensley. The ride back was also A Lot of effort, so we decided we needed a drink right away. Lunch was again at Leverick and delicious with fish and chips and pizza so tasty. Then, back to our private pool for naps and such.
Dinner was at Saba Rock- we took the free ferry over from Leverick and enjoyed this little place- I had my first bushwacker- absolutely delicious. We did not do the buffet, because frankly, I had not heard great things about it on the board, but we ordered off the regular menu and the fish was tasty and delicious. We enjoyed listening to the steel band, watching the fish swim off the lighted dock, and seeing the cool museum pieces. We decided we would come back here and buy a t-shirt. Very cool place.

March 20-Day Three
Woke up to great views and sunrises every single morning- I was up at 7:00 am everyday- funny I can't wake up that early to go to work:) Coffee and Bagels again in the villa and a dip in the pool. We managed to secure a dinghy for the full day and we jumped aboard with instructions from Laura at Leverick Bay- this was our first time on a dinghy. Our first stop was Drake's- very weird and deserted- we tied to the dinghy dock and hiked around the island. It reminded us of a place that people just up and left overnight. A lot of things were still in tact- they had kayaks and water sports equipment and Visa and MC signs and such, but no sign of any people. My husband stated that it reminded him of a Scooby Doo episode, it was a little eary. Needless to say, we left and dinghied all around the North Sound- very fun. We had lunch and cold beers at the Fat Virgin- tasty ribs and chicken sandwich. We then dinghied over to the Sandbox at Prickly Pear. There was a cruise ship docked in the sound that day and they were having a party on PP- we don't really mind a little crowd, so we joined right in and had a ball. We played beach volleyball all afternoon and drank a lot of their beer. It was really fun and the beach there was great.
That night, we bbq'ed in our villa- very peaceful and fun- enjoyed the great views and gourmet sausage from Chef's Pantry.

Part 2 to follow.........
