Highly recommend CYOA located in St Thomas. Great boats and staff. They are a sponsor on TTOL too! 10 minutes from the airport, supper organized and great people assisting you that care. Need more?

That sounds very good. Unfortunately I only found one boat that size fits for us (we are only two persons and looking for monohulls up to 40 feet). We only have one under forty foot mono at CYOA but it is an extremely nice almost new Beneteau 38.

Another vote for CYOA, the folks there took great care of us last June. 4 of us spent 10 days on the very boat Captain Jay is referring to. We're planning to return in 2020 and we'll use CYOA again. Regardless of who you pick, have a great trip.

Renting a 45 or 50 footer is just as easy with the stackpak and roller furling and you’ll have enough water to last you a week and you won’t have to detour to PR for water.

What time of year are you going? Why are you limited to < 40 ft - is that budget or are you concerned >40 would be difficult for the two of you to handle? If you are thinking shoulder or low season the boat prices are not that different - a few hundred dollars will separate a 40 from a larger and better equipped boat. Like Baard, I too have a boat managed by CYOA. Mine is a 45 with gen/ac and water maker which makes it pretty ideal for venturing to places with sparse water availability. My wife and I handle her by ourselves just fine and we are by no means expert sailors. So if you and your partner are comfortable with a boat up to forty I can't imagine why the extra size is going to stress you out.
Life's short - sail more!

CYOA.
Great company. Nice new fleet. 5-10 minutes from airport.
No reason to limit to sub 40. They have a nice 41 and some 45s. We also have a brand new Jeaneau 44.
