It is not legal to harvest living coral of any kind in Cayman waters. It is legal to sell jewelry pieces though.

OK, is it legal to bring it back into the US?? I have a couple of necklaces I bought a LONG time ago, but somehow I thought it was not legal to bring it into the states any more.

It is legal to bring into the US with a proper permit/documentation that the vendor needs to supply.

No beach peddlers in Cayman. There is a small local craft mart that sets up in a plaza near the cruise terminal when ships are in port
