Not sure why you started another thread here, but that grand opening seems to be in doubt, based on the current status of the project according to the other thread?

Thanks for posting this link sxmmartini. It reads that the resort is already open but lobby not until Feb 20th and an alternative is in place until then. Clears up a lot.

Ocean Point is open. Sonesta Maho is not Ocean Point is not Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino which is a very important complex for the island. I like to try to separate the two because they are one but not in the eyes of family resorts with a void since Hurricane Irma.
