Hi all! Leaving for St Maartens in 2 weeks. We hope to grill some fresh seafood while there for a month. Question is....Where is the best place to buy fresh seafood in Simpson Bay. We will be in the Atrium.
Thanks so much for the feedback!

pharmguy--it's St Maarten (singular), not St Maartens.. smile Anyway, Skip Jacks sells fresh fish. You can also check that market right there by the bridge. Not sure if it has reopened since Irma?? You can check there though.

There is a fish market across from the Police Station as Carol says. Go early!

Elaine--thanks. Wasn't sure if they reopened after Irma, as I didn't pay attention when we were there in June.

I know you requested a market in Simpson Bay but I'd like to recommend a drive to Marigot early morning when the boats come in at the open air market. Buy fish (many choices reasonable) or just take beautiful photo of blue red green and other fish I've never seen before. Interesting to watch men fillet them.

Simpson Bay is an open air market too, another place the fish come in off the boat.

There is a new source for seafood on the French . Small stand across the street from Leader Price store. Had snapper and lobster. Lobster was $25 per kilo. Highly recommended.
