Daily Herald storyIt is interesting, to watch the SXM parliament go round and round, and not get a budget passed, while the airport can't get it's money to rebuild from the Dutch because there is no confirmed budget. The story doesn't say how much might potentially be saved in rent if they rent somewhere else. I wonder who owns the building they are currently renting??? I have no idea, but I suspect that the name of the owner would probably be well known to many.

That’s in local currency, not USD. NAf 750K, not USD 750K. I have no insight into commercial rental rates on Sint Maarten, but the cost of a rent priced in NAf is less concerning than the cost of a rent priced in USD. Still, if you can save a few 100K NAf, that’s worth looking into, but they must also look into the cost of making the new space “suitable” for the MPs.
