The story doesn't say how much might potentially be saved in rent if they rent somewhere else. I wonder who owns the building they are currently renting??? I have no idea, but I suspect that the name of the owner would probably be well known to many.
That’s in local currency, not USD. NAf 750K, not USD 750K. I have no insight into commercial rental rates on Sint Maarten, but the cost of a rent priced in NAf is less concerning than the cost of a rent priced in USD. Still, if you can save a few 100K NAf, that’s worth looking into, but they must also look into the cost of making the new space “suitable” for the MPs.
