Daily Herald story

I actually didn't realize that Alamanda was going to reopen as a hotel. Good news.

Great news, Carol. We were all set to stay here back in November, 2017 and those plans were dashed rather quickly two months earlier on September 6th of that year. It's taken almost two years to come back, but all good things take time and this hotel offers an additional choice in the Orient Bay area. As for Alamanda, the last time I spoke with Ted Demeritte at the U.S. based St. Martin Reservation Center he had indicated that it was going to reopen as apartments only, and not as a hotel. Maybe they've changed their minds about this after seeing the surge in tourism this year on SXM.

I had not heard that Alamanda was going to reopen as a hotel at all either, prior to this story.
