I got the first of two in the series of the Shingrix vaccine yesterday. It FINALLY came in to Walter Reed.

Let me tell you, I feel like sh*t today. As if I am coming down with the flu. I expected the sore arm, but this headache, all over achiness, and fever are killing me. It caused me 1/2 a day of work and I'm still sitting here at my desk feeling like poop warmed over.

Not looking forward to the second shot in two to six months.....but from what I've seen of people who do get the shingles....I'll suffer through this discomfort.

I guess I need to check to make sure my health plan will pay for Shingrix, since I had the older one. I didn't have any ill effects at all from that one, but no pain, no gain, I guess.

I'm not on Medicare, yet. I can go by Walgreen's some time and see whether my insurance will pay.

Say that when you get singles. Well worth the shot to prevent it.

And also to all the parents that refuse vaccinations for their little ones to avoid autism (which was never proven) are now dealing with a measles outbreak.

Schools in Washington St are refusing students to attend school today if they don't have there vaccinations up to date without proper religious or medical deferments.

Kinda weird, in the middle of the school year? Why not at the beginning of school?

Children should not be able to attend school without vaccinations. It should be mandatory in the US.

They tried that and got a lot of resistance so they put a deadline of today and now it's being enforced.
