It seems like I just left, but I am back from my four days in paradise. Thanks for all the tips. It was an interesting experience. First of all, the trip has made me want to see more of the Grenadines especially Bequia. Mustique was like fantasy island. It was VERY quiet. The Cotton House was closed so the only action was at Basil's and the Firefly. There's also a small restaurant called Hill Top that is definitely more West Indian style. The weather was great! My favourite beach was Macaroni. Our stay at the Firefly lived up to expectations -- with the entire staff being warm and friendly and utterly professional. We also enjoyed good lunches (albeit pricey) at Basil's. Didn't see anybody taking the horses out, as I said it was very quiet on the island. Did some nice nature walks, tooled around in the Mule quite a bit. The strangest experience was wading into water (Lagoon Beach) that was actually hot! It was like a bath.
Now back to reality.
