Delta suspended ALL service to SXM for Sept. and Oct. and are back now with a very limited schedule. It does increase as we get deeper into Nov. We were booked with Delta to leave next week but it is not happening due to their schedule changes, pricing and an overnight on the return. I posted about this a couple of times. I have a March flight booked on Delta and so far it has just changed by an hour or so. AA to SXM and Delta return.
Most people book based on their location, use of miles, schedule and service and price. There is not a lot of choice or loyalty is many cases. My choices are AA or Delta, it all comes down to price and schedule for me.
Delta cancelled my return this past March and once I got rebooked (at a higher price) and returned home, they were extremely easy to deal with. Same thing with our cancelled Nov. flights, full refund back to my credit card and in a very timely manner.
I would have no problem booking Delta for a trip to SXM. ANY airline can and will change schedules and it is even more prevalent now.
