It is indeed Fred. On the Cap de la Nau which is the nearest point of mainland Spain to the Balearic Islands. From the top you can see Ibiza which is about 50 miles away. Very nice. Your turn.
Yes Tuscany!...but that's a huge region...I should have put a town pic first to make it more challenging...bonus point for naming this wine town near those landscapes, to take the pics we stopped on the side of the road heading to another nearby town known for Pecorino cheese!

I'll post one, the first of a series where each one is more recognizable as I'd be amazed if someone could guess this location from this picture alone:

I missed the correction you had posted, it was on the previous page and all I saw was this page. No worries, you were close enough to getting the right name and you'd correctly identified where the island is. I've sailed past that barren rock a couple of times and each time the seas were just a bit too much for me to anchor on the leeward side and climb up the path to the top.

An interesting side note, the red buoy began life in eastern Canada, ran away from home and hitched rides on currents before ending up here. I learned that from George Jeffrey (pictured here and also on the cover of the 2014/15 Cruising Guide to the Leeward Islands).

Offhand I can only think of two islands that are that flat in the Leewards - Anegada and Barbuda. I have been to Anegada many times and haven't seen a red buoy like that one so I'm going to guess Barbuda.

That was much faster than I expected. The next picture was to have been this one, which probably would have made guessing the location a lot easier. All yours, XSMFOX

Good guess Fran but farther east. I guess I didn’t think about it, but kids to the same thing there also, lol. I will say that this picture was taken back in 95, so it might look a bit different now.

One more clue. This place use to have a rather large soap factory that use to spill their waste by product directly into the ocean. Now that should help help

Come on y’all, this can’t be that difficult. Fred was the closest, so another clue. Just remember these photos are from 1995. Carol when someone gets it right, you slap your forehead and say “I knew that”, LOL. LOOK CLOSE, kids in the water collecting coins tossed in the water by tourists. We’ve all seen this.

Sorry to jphart, but no. A little farther north than that. Remember this picture was from 1995, things have changed, sorry about that. Look at the clues, many about. Going to bed now, I can’t believe this has lasted this long.

We’ve been several times, and on each occasion the kids were always there, and they would make their presents known by yelling. It was hard to sit out on the balcony and drink coffee, and if you ever started throwing coins, watch out! It was fun though. This is the old dock, where the ship would pull along side the dock as if it were going straight into the island.

Fran--I didn't see it until Zanshin had already gotten it. Definitely St. Martin. I believe actually the picture was probably taken at the beach for Esmeralda, based on the seat cushion color, but I could be wrong.

I'll add a clue already, since I neglected to post it with the original picture above. This (closed) location supplied a raw material to the (closed) location above. What town are we in?

I think if this was in the USA, it would be covered in graffiti so I'm guessing somewhere in Germany like Dresden. It looks like some kind of coal gasification plant or maybe coal to diesel?

So far nobody has it. Swifty - "Landschaftspark" just means a nature park in German. But you are closest so far. Here is the next site (also closed) and the canal which fed raw materials to the second picture which transformed it to a raw material for the first picture:

We have a winner! My last picture was going to be of soccer fans walking downtown with their distinctive yellow-and-black colors, but that wasn't necessary.
The mine was for coal, the middle picture was of a factory that converted coal to coke and the final picture was of a steel works.
All yours, xrayman67!

Yes Carol the Hebridean Princess is the boat the Queen holidays on a week or 2 every year. Most guests use it as a country club sailing 3 or 4 times a year,

I just looked at the thread and saw the picture. I've wanted to go to this beach, but couldn't due to my boat's draft and I didn't want to take the ferry with the hoi polloi

Carol, I checked my computer time settings, they are correct. The post clock says one time for the initial post and then on the next post it was completely different. This morning it seems to have corrected itself somehow. I know I'm not the only one seeing this but oh well, not a world shaking crisis.

Jeannius--no, not Tintamarre. There is nothing in the way of restaurants on Tintamarre. I am going to say that 18 hours have passed, so google away, everyone!

No Tulum, but getting closer, still south. Hint: this used to be a sleepy little fishing village. The first time we went there the main 'street' was hard packed sand with large, ship mooring lines for speed bumps, now it's concrete.

Costa Maya is the cruise ship stop, this village is about a mile or so further down and existed before the cruise ship pier. I'll give it to JP for Costa Maya but the village is actually Mahahual. You're up JP
