Just booked BVI trip yesterday. Sounds like we have to figure out how to get a 3rd test done while in BVIs.

(Ugh, if I would have waited one more day I would not have booked)

hopefully I am overreacting a bit. Will wait for details

Here is the official CDC announcement:https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/s0112-negative-covid-19-air-passengers.html

Not much clarity.

Didn't I read here that part of the entire testing and quarantine included an appointment to get tested before leaving? I thought someone said that the Government sets up the appointment for you when your 4 day test results are back???

It's not at all difficult to plan the 3rd test. If you're stay is 7 days, you can use your day 4 test as your return test. If it's longer, there is a form to fill out and email to the government. Based on your return travel date, they will schedule and appointment for you. It's a $70 test fee and they will email the results back to you in about 24 hours. We had some guests just do it and said the testing process was only about 15 minutes.

Thanks Jason

We are going to be down for 11 days. Our boat is in the Virgin Charter fleet. I already emailed Virgin and they will assist with scheduling the test for us on day 8 to get back into the US.

Cup half full here - but, we hopefully will be free to move about the county on Day 4. I will run out of either vodka or beer on day 8, so will be time to re-provision again. So, we will just come back into Nanny (that is only inconvenience as it will be out of the way of our travel pattern), re-provision and get the test.

I could be possible to test at other locations that are not out of the way, but that is TBD. At least at Nanny I can load up water, provisions and get tested - theoretically - at the same time!!

@OceanSong - Unfortunately I agree. I am already looking forward to 2022. Owning a PC in BVI this year will not be profitable (understatement).

BTW - born and raised in Smithfield, NC!! Yeah, I am a long way from home!

I know things are always changing, but when we were there recently you could only get the $70 optional covid test at Peebles.
At that time they would not email the result so we had to put together an extremely complicated process (involving Moorings office, taxi driver, draft and sign authorization forms and variously photograph, print and email of documents). It worked but what a PITA that was.

We are hoping to go again next month and specifically were looking to fly through SJU to avoid this. Doesn't look like we'll get out of it anymore.

Test available on VG I believe the test to enter the USVI needs to be 3 days before travel Max

That is my understanding as well

we are going from 2/11 to 2/22
Test 1 2/6 - Prior to Departure (5 days)
Test 2 on 2/11 - arrival
Test 3 on 2/15 - Day 4
Test 4 on 219 - Day 8 (3 days prior)
Day 11 - Departure

Posted this back in December.....

I'll be booking my flight when BVI updated and revised legislations is as follows:

1. travel 2 weeks after you are vaccinated
2. negative covid test before travel. (Maybe!)
3. on arrival, proof of vaccination and negative test required.
4. free to move about the country w/o quarantine or addition testing.

Oh and NO EXCLUSION ZONE!

And what about requirements to return to the US? Or are they exempt from your rules and allowed to protect their population?
