Just returned from our 5th trip (land) to the BVI and thought I would share some of our experiences.
We stayed at Serendipity House in the East end of Tortola and really enjoyed the place and the location (this was our first time staying on the East end). The rate is excellent for the island.

FAVORITE RESTAURANTS:
East End: Eclipse and HarborView..Eclipse has a great "grazing" menu and Harborview is just lovely..wonderful menu specials especially the banana surprise dessert, welcoming owner and great location on the water. Both of these are worth the drive from anywhere on the island!
West End: Palm Delight and Cocoplums
Roadtown: Spaghetti Junction

BEST ENTERTAINMENT:
Happy Hour (5:30 to 7:30) at Marina Cay with Michael Bean
Quito and the Edge

BEST SNORKELING (from the shore):
Saw 2 turtles and the largest stingray at Long Bay East
Spring Bay/Virgin Gorda
Cooper Island
Brewers Bay

MOST DISAPPOINTING:
Day trip to Anegada with Fly BVI..the flight was nice but the snorkeling was terrible and that is why we went over. Most of the reef in the area of Big Bamboo is dead..everyone on the trip had the same comments.

BIGGEST CHANGE:
The activity level at White Bay, JVD. 2 small cruise ships were docked..never seen so many people at White Bay..what ever happened to this pristine, quiet beach!! And the water sport rentals on the beach..how disappointing to see that level of commercialism here.

MOST RELAXING DAY TRIPS:
Cooper Island..good snorkeling, nice lunch at the beach bar
Peter Island..good snorkeling at White Bay and love Deadman's Beach Bar for lunch..a classy resort
Virgin Gorda: snorkeling at Spring Bay in the morning, lunch at Giorgio's and an afternoon snorkel at Mahoe Bay..perfect!

CRUISE SHIPS
Too many at one time..the island cannot handle the number of people that come off those large ships..there were 1 or 2 large ships in every day we were there. We managed to escape the crowds most of the time but it takes effort to do so!
