There are 17 major planes scheduled for arrival tomorrow. That is 5 more than has arrived on a prior Saturday for at least 3 months. American has 6 scheduled trips for tomorrow which is 4 more than they have been flying on Saturdays.

YIKES! I guess I didn't realize it, but the Millennium sailing is the FIRST sailing of a large ship since the pandemic, according to The Points Guy, so I expect there will be a fair number of cruise execs and press there for it, in addition to all the passengers coming in. Anyone flying in on Saturday needs to pack a 'boatload' of patience..

In a 40 minute period tomorrow, from 1:20pm to 2:00pm, there are 9 major jets scheduled to arrive. It is going to be a lot of fun in the terminal tomorrow.

I was wondering to begin with how you knew that. Didn't realize before now that you can look at the arrivals at PJIA for the next day, as well as for today. That is going to be awful..

Eek! I fly in on Sat. 6/19 via AA and arrive @ 1:40pm. I'll prepare myself to have patience. Thanks for the info!

Being an aviation photographer, I would sure like to be at the Sunset Bar tomorrow! I sure have missed our trips to SXM and all the great photos from Maho I have taken over the years, like these examples.

I'm sure the arrival & departure tax the passengers will be paying during the cruises out of SXM will help. Also the ship departs @ 10 pm which should allow the passengers who check in early go back into town to shop if they so choose.

Was just watching the Maho Beach webcam. Looked to be "only" 7 large planes in at the moment. Saw the AA plane land from Dallas. Not sure if that was the first one of the non-stops from Dallas or not. The cruise pier webcam is disappointing, as they are showing 4 ships there, but I would have expected a close-up of the Celebrity ship. I have to assume that passengers are boarding already..

My seatmate on the CTL-SXM leg was going on the cruise. He said they had to be on the ship by either 3 or 4 PM (can't remember which). They were going to have to take another COVID test once on board, but no wearing of masks.

I think I was on the second jet to land, thank goodness. Even so, the line was about four blocks long but moved pretty quickly. I was about half an hour from entry to the hall to exit.

Thanks for sharing these great photo's!! We had just landed when the staff was giving KLM it's final send off!! It was so cool!! (2017) And yes, watching the planes come in, never gets old!!

I'm very happy for the island!!! I got to say, that airport can't handle all those flights!! In March when we arrived, we were the only plane at that time. Crammed in on line, what seemed like it took for ever to get processed through. We were so relived we walked out and left our luggage behind!! LOL!!! Everyone outside got a big laugh, yes the guard let us back in with a giggle on his face!!

Linda--glad you were at the beginning of the rush anyway and many times in the old days, we would have been very happy to ONLY take a half hour to clear the airport! Now time to relax!

It should be interesting to hear about the cruise..
