I’m sure it’s an age thing..no jokes please. smile. But I filled out the info for both of us on the portal ..they gave me a long bunch o numbers and letters to return to upload Covid tests. So I received the negative tests today.. returned to portal site . I could not find any way to put in the numbers/ letters . So I put my email in as though adding another person. It has both of our names there and several boxes showing we are in the system but nothing is clickable to add the test. What am I missing?
TIA

I think they need to send you a link via email to add them and will do as you get closer. I don't think you can go in directly and edit. The numbers and letters are the application ID but not a way to get back in...

email or Facebook message them. Lynette Harrigan or Henrietta Alexander

lharrigan@bvitourism.com

I think the best way for others is to have it all at once which I just uploaded

Thank you so much. I thought I was missing something. ...as is often the case. I was surprised to get the results in 24 hrs. If I don’t hear from bvi tomorrow I’ll contact them..

Thanks for this forum - I just spent a frustrating session trying to find a way to enter my negative COVID results into the application (without success, of course) and remembered having seen this thread title smile I made the mistake of sending my question to the official 'bvigateway@bviaa.com' address and expect that it won't be answered, just like my previous 2 e-mails over the past 2 days. I'll wait a bit and then use the address above for Lynette Harrigan in the hopes of getting a response. I'm a bit of a luddite despite working in IT and don't have a facebook account or Whatsapp.

If I get through Amsterdam and St. Martin I'll be arriving sometime after 6PM on LIAT (actually, if they delay or scrap the flight, I'd arrive the next day and not have to quarantine or take another rt-PCR test!). When do you arrive?

That bvigateway e-mail address seems to get you to the technical people (geeks) for technical issues about the portal. We had some correspondence with them in late November and early December about some issues when the portal first came up.

I've sent 3 e-mails to that address to date and haven't received a single answer. Not much of a recommendation... Considering how few people are travelling to the BVI daily on the limited flights and 2 ferries, a single support person with a checklist of common questions and responses could this - working only part-time. At one time in the past I ran a support centre, so speak from experience.

I think questions about your portal submission should go to Henrietta Alexander and/or Lynette Harrigan. The bvigateway seems to be technically oriented people (like why is the SSL certificate not valid for the www host name) . . . geeks . . . like me.

I sent an e-mail to Lynette Harrigan a couple of hours ago but haven't heard back. The portal website only gives that one e-mail address, so what do normal visitors without access to traveltalk do when they encounter problems? The site says you have to complete registration 48 hours before arrival, so even though I've got everything finished I can't complete this process in a timely fashion, plus I have to travel for 2 days to get there and won't be able to access the internet. What a frustrating farce. I really hope that they work weekends. What would Henrietta Alexander's e-mail address be?

The best way to get hold of Lynette Harrigan or Henrietta Alexander is through the BVI Alive Facebook site. The seem to monitor that site and pick up on posts where they have been tagged. They also respond to FB Messenger.

As I mentioned before, I have resisted getting a facebook account so far and checked earlier today to see if the messenger can be done without signing up, but that isn't possible.

And who owns What'sApp?

"WhatsApp Messenger, or simply WhatsApp, is an American freeware, cross-platform centralized messaging and voice-over-IP service owned by Facebook, Inc."

And Messenger?

"Facebook Messenger is an American messaging app and platform developed by Facebook, Inc."

Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger (with a lower case L). I think the only thing that's left is e-mail.

I just copied and pasted the section out of my BVI trip plan for Zanshins question. Of my 8 crew 1 actually knows how to use Whats App. I have 2 kids in the crew that think Facebook sucks but are functional on it. I wanted to have all means necessary to get this across the finish line...

I do have a Facebook account but don't post and certainly don't like it

I emailed Lynette and she responded and that was good enough for me. Now Zanshin has a phone number and Henriettas email which was his direct question

I didn't get my approval until I got to ATL on the first leg of my flight. My wife got hers at midnight before we flew out at 6 am.

xrayman - I'm less worried about getting the approval than I am about being able to submit the last document in order to get the approval smile I sent a message to the telephone number (hopefully that works without having to sign up for WhatsApp) and will wait an hour before sending another e-mail to my last point of contact, Henrietta, as supplied above. I don't want to send too many mails at once. But it would be nice to actually get a response of any kind as I feel like I'm sending stuff into a black hole!

After not getting any responses to any other methods (including signing up for WhatsApp and sending a message there), I wrote a short e-mail to Henrietta Alexander and within a minute received a response and a link with which to submit my negative test result. Thanks to her and everyone here. Now it just needs to get approved, but that should not be an issue.

I really wonder what happens to poor folk who only use the official e-mail on the site for their questions. They probably end up missing flights.

And my approval came less than 5 minutes after I uploaded the test results smile

Now I still have a 4-hour roundtrip train trip tomorrow to take another rt-PCR test (the closest location that guarantees fast results - for €119), this test is for the transit stops in the Netherlands and Sint Maarten. But at least 50% of the trip prerequisites are done and dusted.

Agree and glad it worked out my friend...as with many things BVI it really shouldn't have to be this hard...and full credit to you for figuring out Whats App because I couldnt...LOL

Glad to see you got the approval so quickly. Your situation is so much more complicated than ours. Right now about all we have to decide is whether to get the quick test or get an antibody test to simplify travel to/from the USVI.

Get the antibody test.

That's most likely what we'll do but I need to hunt down a testing location semi-close to us. Only a few options compared to lots of places for the PCR.
