The BVI Chief Medical officer has confirmed that Abbott’s BinaxNOW COVID-19 Ag At-Home Test, which is proctored, is accepted for entry to BVI so long as it is signed of by a health care provider. Hoping they actually publish something I can share, but it was confirmed directly to Conch Charters today.

Attached is my lab report from September that shows a signature is included.

Thanks to AA change we are flying to USVI on Monday and water taxi to JVD on Tuesday. Can you get this testing done with results on weekends?

Is it correct that the eMed proctored Binax test normally has this signature, and that they will accept electronic copies? (Not sure I will have access to a printer at the time of testing, assuming these requirements don't change by January.)

Thanks!

Yes. Make sure that when you open the PDF from your email that you take a screenshot of it. It is password protected so if you forward it to someone they can't access it.

I found it worked well to print the password protected PDF to another PDF and submit that.

Thanks! Do I need to send it to someone else as a vaccinated person entering the BVI? Or is that for the USVI portal?

We won't have a printer at our villa and will probably exit test on our phones. Sounds like we will get an email with results. How do we then get that into the USVI portal for our clearance if we can't forward something password protected and I can't print?
Also, can one person (me, MOM) get everyone's results emailed to me? It will be easier for me to have everything in one place if they will allow it. Teens and husband are pretty clueless.

Take a screenshot of the results and use that for the portal. It’s also good practice to screenshoot the results in case your email goes wonky.

Yes - just be the person filling out the portal - sounds like you would be anyway - and use the same email address for everyone. You will get the acknowledgment of submission and the (hopefully) green square for everyone.

Have fun!

And I assume the whole family can put down my email when they sign on for the Emed test? So all results come to me?

Use the "print to pdf" feature to strip the password.

Skipdastraw - each person should take the test on their own device if possible. My audio on my phone wasn’t working so I used my husbands phone. Then he tried to take the test using his - after we logged me out and logged him in. Didn’t work. Tried 4 times. The proctor kept saying he was logged in as me. Solution: clear your cache and browsing history and wait 15 minutes between log ins. The proctors are only there to walk you through the test. Not to troubleshoot IT problems. This was our experience earlier this week.

Thanks for the heads up on the tech side of things! We will all use our own devices. I just want to make sure all the paperwork can be emailed to me because I will be the one doing the portal.

would the ferry accept this and has anyone tried?
If so what happens when you reserve, will a test be scheduled?
Thanks!

Does the ferry accept the Binax results? Yes - used it in October. When you are ready to do the test, they basically just have the proctor join you - I think I waited 30 seconds for them. Then they walk you thru the test, you tell them the result (they ask a couple of questions) and 10 minutes later you have your results emailed to you.

Works great!

Peter,
I haven't reserved a ferry yet, but will have the PDF from EMed on my phone to present at the ferry terminal. My question, will that PDF from EMed will be accepted or will they line me up for their test as it states on the ferry reservation link.
thanks

They will take that pdf from eMed - the real question is about the test at the terminal. The new rules say that if the test was conducted within 48 hours of the trip (2 days, really) that you won't need the test in Road Town. Those rules change came after I made the trip, so don't know exactly how the ferry people do that.

Honestly, though, doing the test at the dock in Road Town was easy, reasonably quick, and the only down side to it was the $50 charge. Everyone was nice, and it took my group of 7 maybe 45 minutes total until we were in the taxi on the way to the boat. Just do the Road Town Patient Registration Form before you get to Road Town (internet sucks at the terminal - we all did ours while waiting for the ferry in CA).

I'm sure someone who has done it since the change will chime in.

Keep Smiling!!!

When you get off the ferry, the break the group into 2 lines. Those with tests taken within 2 days of travel and those with older (must be 5 or less) tests.

The first group goes directly to immigration and starts to clear. The 2nd group goes thru the testing process.

CVS has a PDF with the necessary info. You had to hunt for it if I recall.

When we had our PCR tests done by CVS we ended up with three reports that differed in format considerably. We got an e-mail, there was an entry in the CVS My Chart, and a PDF downloadable from My Chart. I apologize but it's been so long I don't recall which one was the most complete.

It took me forever to find this. When I had PCR tests done by CVS, they provided me with a rather primitive report in e-mail and an equally primitive report in the CVS My Chart portal. The PCR tests were processed by LabCorp and LabCorp provided another very simplistic report but it had a link to "Download Results PDF" and when you clicked on that link you were presented with a very detailed and complete lab report on LabCorp letterhead. This is what I submitted to the USVI and BVI portals (this was back in the days when that was required).

Maybe that was for the full PCR test?...this is the best I can get for the Antigen test at CVS. I do have Emeds as well for each of us...

That is exactly what we had back in July, when the submission requirements were tougher, and it was accepted by both the USVI and BVI.

They took either at Beef island…we had both emed and cvs

Didn’t really check insurance or travel insurance and only checked vac cards on outside after you pay environmental fee

The burned boat is on a barge in Great harbour...apparently it started on the fly bridge while 8 people were sleeping below. Dont know if marine max have electric grills up top like 514's do but glad they all made it out ok

looks like some North swell this week...
