Hi all. Can anyone suggest a site/guide to BVI snorkel sites? I know about the biggies (Caves, Indians, etc). Looking for something that's reasonably comprehensive to explore out of the way sites.
Thanks

I have read several people mentioning the turtles at Cooper. Only been there twice - didn't snorkel the first time and snorkeled cistern point the second and saw no turtles. Where are the turtles and rays? Among the moorings?

They are often in the mooring field and around Cistern rock.

We saw tons of turtles and rays, including a huge spotted eagle ray right off Oil Nut. That reef is fantastic. Check out the sunken tree which ended up there after the hurricanes but supposedly isn't native to the BVI. Anyone know where it came from? The canons are pretty cool if you can find them.

Yes, loads of turtles there. We went with the ARK team on a turtle tagging trip and that's where we found the most.

We saw Shelly, the shark attack victim. She's huge!

We always take this guide with us - has been a helpful resource. Map, sketches of each site, difficulty, snorkeling vs diving, etc.

The Guide to Snorkeling and Diving in the British Virgin Islands

If you make it to Anegada, you can't beat the snorkeling at Loblolly Beach in settled weather.
