We are looking for a place to rent for Jan-March 2015, possibly including April. We are open to most any area Orlando and South. Our max. budget is apps $1,500 Mo. If you have or know of a nice place available, please let us know. 2BR is preferable but not a requirement. It is pretty much just for the two of us, retired married couple.

Every time I see this subject line I wonder if there is a snow bird for rent. I have several here on St Thomas I'd love to rent out... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />

We are getting screwed by landlord. We were assured place at Sun Valley Estate would be very nice by the park. The landlord turned out to be a slumlord and looks like we will lose our money as there is no way we will sty in his unit. Thinking we will be back to the RV next year. Least we know what we have. You may not want to do business with john reed here or in tampa as i hear he has places there as well.

Sorry to hear that..... did you go through VRBO or Home Away? Or did you find this privately?

Unfortunately took the opinion of a person at the resort that knew my cousin. They thought by the activity they saw the place would be really nice but the end result was far from that.
The details are quite involved, bottom line, the place was awful and looks like little chance of getting our money back.

I understand this occurred some time ago, but in our 4+yr experience in FLA, $1500/month is incredably CHEAP -- way way way too low -- so BEWARE, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is something you should run away from!!! That would be a good deal for 2 wks in winter.....
