Great beach day yesterday. Spent the day at home base then a lovely dinner at Ocean 82 in Grand Case to celebrate our friends birthday. I made reservations online using Open Table. Quick and easy using them for this night as well as Bamboo House. In the special request box of the form I typed we were celebrating a birthday. When we arrived they wished him a Happy Birthday and at the end of the meal brought over a dessert platter with a sparkler and sang happy birthday to him.

Very good service and food was delicious. French onion soup, salad for two of us for starters followed by lamb shank with scalloped potatoes for David. Me and Mike got the salted filet mignon with Béarnaise sauce and birthday boy had chicken fettuccine. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, cocktails and the Grand Marnier soufflé. That was delicious.

They reimburse you for the $5 parking fee which is located only a few buildings before the restaurant. WE almost never find street parking nor at the free lot farther up and last night was no exception. When departing I showed the hostess the parking stub and she handed me $5.

Looks delicious, especially that soufflé.

Louise--Wow, Grand Marnier souffle at the Morgan? Wow, I normally wouldn't want to support that complex, but a Grand Marnier souffle that close to home?? hard to pass up..

The last time I looked at Ocean 82 menu it was all seafood (which I don't eat). So it is good to know that some meat is back on the menu.

lcote--I suspect maybe you didn't see all the pages of Ocean 82's menu before? I really can't imagine any restaurant in Grand Case only having fish on the menu. I definitely have had a filet in the past there.

So have I Carol. But I think just post Irma our first year back, they were seafood only.

OK, not sure. Regardless, it seems that's not a problem now.
