Good Afternoon, This airline had some very bad reviews, but they were from months ago. Many were from other islands and not the San Juan to Tortola round trip flights. As you know, the fare is good. Can you please tell me anything good or bad about the flights and have the cancellations and time changes been improved. We would be taking the first scheduled one on a Saturday in November and: mid morning (2nd Flight of the morning EIS to SJU) on a Friday in December We are tempted to do it this way but because of the older reviews are worried. Any of your news or flyers feedback would be very helpful.

Took intercaribbean from SJU to Eis. On time BUT the flight was miserable. Seats are so tight together that I could not put my knees in from of me but had to sit sideways. I am 6 ft tall. I would not fly with them again. Took Silver from EIS to SJU. On time and their plane was new with good amount of room between seats. I highly recommend them over intercaribbean.

I have not taken IC before. I have been on Cape Air and Silver a number of times and never had an issue. Based on recent experience, Silver has been doing well. Good size planes with comfy seats. They are code sharing with AA. From what I have seen at SJU and EIS, Cape Air is running the small single prop planes. All the regional carriers have gotten bad reviews over the last couple years. IMO Silver is doing better recently. If you want to get actual stats on cancellations and delays, go to FlightAware.
As has been posted here of TTOL, American will start running a non-stop direct from MIA to EIS in June. I'm not an airline person, but I wonder if that will impact Silver's operations as they are probably getting most of their current passengers for the SJU-EIS route thru AA code-share bookings. Silver is also code sharing with Delta.

Thanks to everyone for sharing their flight experiences to EIS. One last issue please> I am eyeing ICA and Silver BUT it is for November in 6 mos. Any advantage to wait so the schedule doesn't change too much or the fare amount. Thanks for all of the input here. Agree with George. I would definitely wait. We have a trip planned for November as well....waiting until at least August for tickets.

We used them last year and I did two things to mitigate any issues which are possible with any of the airlines. I bought an annual trip insurance plan (paid for itself a few months later when I cancelled a different trip). We also stayed in SJU one night on our way there and two on our way back. Way there we just went to the nearby embassy suites and relaxed at the pool, had dinner and got some sleep. Breakfast in the morning before heading to the airport for a 10am flight. Return we spent 2 nights at the hyatt grand reserve which was a great time. Staying made for a more relaxing travel time and reduced potential issues caused by delays.
