Here in the States most all airlines have given the same notice, Southwest, American, United, to name those I remember hearing on the news. But the news also said doubtful it will happen---just a threat and that out government would step in to stop it.

RonDon-when you say "our government", that equates to the US government. WestJet is a Canadian airline.

Giving a strike notice with a date i(WestJet) s a tad more agressive than workers authorizing a strike (SWA, American, United)

RonDon-when you say "our government", that equates to the US government. WestJet is a Canadian airline. Yes I was saying USA government in the case of US airlines going on strike. I did realize WestJet is Canadian.
