First trip to Pinel was in January 1981. Just our family of 7 on the small boat "ferry" and on Pinel island. Rate was a "soft" $5/person. We negotiated a settlement of $25 for our crew. No restaurants, just the beach and snorkeling. One of the most pleasant afternoons I've ever spent on St. Martin. Yes. That's the way I remember it too from a cruise ship day at Pinel.
