These are armed, serial violent criminals, not kiddie shoplifters. The sentence reduction listed in the article is, imho, inappropriate. An apprenticeship or course of study is 4 years, they just learned the cost of being a criminal is far less; and they didn't have to offer any restitution of items and money stolen. So, in their case, they seem to have learned that crime does pay.

@Kennys - prayers? For whom? The shopowners who were threatened with deadly violence and whose livelihood was stolen, or for the perps, those poor lost souls whose troubled past forced them to rob repeatedly?
