These are armed, serial violent criminals, not kiddie shoplifters. The sentence reduction listed in the article is, imho, inappropriate. An apprenticeship or course of study is 4 years, they just learned the cost of being a criminal is far less; and they didn't have to offer any restitution of items and money stolen. So, in their case, they seem to have learned that crime does pay.

At least he's got a job and appears to be trying to turn his life around. You are much more forgiving for such criminal deviants. Glad you're not part of the justice system.
