Anyone know how to obtain an MMSI number that will work in the BVI and international waters? Not sure how it works for a BVI flagged boat. Different process, I assume, from registering a US-flagged vessel.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Is your boat in BVI charter company? Surely they would know. Ours is BVI based bust USCG registered so different process.

If it's a BVI Flagged Vessel, I believe you need to apply to the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission - see: https://www.trc.vg/top-box/apply-for-licences/

Deepcut - We are BVI based private charter and have to reflag from US to BVI because our crew is non-US. Thanks for the response.
