I am not sure if this was mentioned in any of the recent threads. If so, kindly delete this. There is a live beach WebCam for the relatively new Dinghy’s Beach, Bar and Grill on Simpson Bay. It does not seem to actively work on my iPhone, but it will work on a computer or tablet. I have been watching it this morning. A good view of the beach, and Simpson Bay looking towards Pelican Key https://dinghysbeachbar.com/st-maarten-web-cam/Click on the beach WebCam. It seems to be functioning fine. The airport WebCam is not working this morning. Always fun to watch these WebCams when we are not there. 😎🌴 Drphilsxm

Yes, it has been mentioned here before, but that's OK. I don't think I've ever seen the airport cam working. Perhaps it is only on in the afternoons or something, when there is a lot of activity there.

OK, that's weird. She hasn't moved at all. I did see a fellow walk by at one point. It must be a mannequin, I guess.

Wow, I am finding myself agreeing with Scubaman here! Lesley--you should stop by there and tell them that their policy on added tipping will not go over well, and if they want to survive, they will modify their policy. It is very difficult for a new business to survive in that location, and they are setting themselves up for failure from the start. I think that, since you are a local businessman, they should listen to you.

There were two people, from my understanding. No "trashing" in their post, just facts.

There was one person that stated that they were charged a 20% service charge, not two. Those are the facts. Fabila mentioned that they have dined there twice without noticing any 20% service charge. And you have had people state that it is a bad policy and would keep them from visiting the business. You yourself said, "they are setting themselves up for failure from the start". Add this to past comments about music and God forbid, that they might allow cruise ship people visit the beach there, it pretty much adds up to "trashing" their business.
Be Happy! Simply because you deserve to be. 😁

It’s cash, Zelle, PayPal and Venmo only Its hard to get a business permit , bank account, credit card account etc on the Island so MAYBE that's is the issue on not taking credit cards. just speculation. I like the option of credit cards so I don't have to carry cash and that other payment stuff is a hassle to use. I do like that beach when no sea weed is there.
