Ok folks, have to admit. This has taken longer than usual to write. Sand gravity, ''older'' age, and just plain laziness has taken over my body this trip. We arrived on the 14th, and spent two days at Mary's Boon before settling into our timeshare at Royal Islander last Saturday. The Boon was okay, had the room by the pool, but found this room very cramped. next year definitely will ask for another location. We have spent many of our days, as usual, at our favorite beach, Le String on Orient.. Weather seems to be unusually warmer than normal for this time of year, and have had a couple of showers, but nothing that lasted more than a few minutes. The island overall, is greener than we have seen it for years. So far, the sargassum has been very low, and Orient Beach has been a delight...both water temperature, and pretty much sea weed free. Hope it lasts.

As for food, we have had some terrific meals once again. So far, for dinners, we have done Captain's ribs, Lee's, Beirut, Fat Tony's and Driftwood for casual dinners, and once again found them all as good as ever. For our more upscal.e ones, had fabulous dinners at our favorites, Sal and Pepe, Mr Chow, Roma and Moulon Fou. Lunches have been mostly at Le String, one day at Aloha, and a few at Driftwood, since it's right next door to where we stay, and the lunches there are great, and very very reasonably priced. There are surely more to be added in the next week and half!

I am still in my routine of attending evening entertainment at Casino Royale, and so far the vaccums there have been turned on high. I guess that 's how they have stayed in business all these years. LOL traff

Island this year is noticably the busiest i have seen it in years. Restaurants seem busy, beaches crowded, and plenty of traffic. The one thing we both noticed this year, was that there seems to be a lot more ''younger'' folk down this year, than in the last many years. it is nice to see the younger generations enjoying the island again. Will try to get in a few more reports in the next 10 days, but no guarantees. smile Also ran into MJ and Todd at a ''meet and greet'' Great to finally meet them after all these years!!

Thanks for the report. Regarding the room at Mary's Boon, are you talking about one of the 'below grade' rooms? I wouldn't want one of those for more than a quick one night.

Sounds like you have been enjoying yourself overall. Carry on!

When we were at Divi in March we noticed more young people as well, often with toddlers and preschoolers. Our 2 granddaughters that age were with us for 1 week, so we added some younger blood as well. Helping to offset all of us aging owners!
