After 7 years we finally returned to the island. Its been way to long ....but life gets in he way sometimes.
Any how we left at O'dark thirty from ORD for a flight to Miami. 2 families with 4 adults and 6 kids (7-18) flights were un-eventful and we arrived on AA at 3:00pm.
Arrival: OI! Its a mess...no need for details.... but just glad there were no other large flights arriving a the same time....I just stood in line with the fam...and put on my patience-hat (not an actual hat....to hot for a hat). We made it outside in about 30 - 45 minutes and after running the gauntlet of car rental barkers we were happy to see Lesley and the Kenny's car rental team. Great as usual.
Most went by taxi and the rest went by car and headed to Simpson BR. All is great here...so much has changed...yet much has stayed the same.
Adults immediately met up for a shooter. (AKA Abergut - google it-- its a Wisconsin thing). We always have a shooter when we reunite or celebrate hard work or good fortune. Quick load up on take out snacks...1-2 cocktails...all passed out for bed early.
Today, late rise, and the kids were released to the pool(s) and beach like a pack of otters. Initial groceries shopping (carrefor) is complete and the rest of the day is beach or pool.... ,
